Collaborations

MUNAY x PANTIRWA

OUR FIRST COLLABORATION. Pantirwa is a hat house from Ayacucho, in the Peruvian Andes designing exclusive pieces from alpaca and vicuña fibre, where tradition, nature and craftsmanship meet.

The Maker
Behind Pantirwa is a man born in Ayacucho, into a family that has worked with baby alpaca for generations. He grew up far from the city, close to the animals and the fibre most people only ever see finished. At some point, he understood that what his family had was a kind of treasure and that it wasn't always being used the way it deserved. So he decided to do something different with it: hats, made entirely by hand, from start to finish. His first one took him four years to get right.

That patience, the refusal to rush something worth doing properlym is why we wanted to work with him.

The Pairing
Our first collaboration is simple: a Munay baby alpaca poncho, worn with a Pantirwa hat. Two pieces made an ocean apart from where they're worn, cut from the same story, the same fibre, the same slowness, the same refusal to cut corners. Together, they carry the finest textures of the Andes into one silhouette.

This is the first of what we hope will be many pairings, with people who make things the way we do: by hand, with patience, and with Peru at the center of it.

The finest fibres of the Andes, worn together.
